Outreach through publication for research, exhibition, and educational programs makes the Yale Peabody Museum’s research and collections accessible to both communities locally and scholars worldwide. Electronic and print publications about Peabody collections and on the work of faculty, staff, students, and associates play an important role in the Museum’s science communication mission to connect the results of this research to the widest possible audience. The Yale Peabody Museum publishes both academic journals and scholarly monographs, along with occasional special publications. The Museum also produces award-winning exhibition catalogs and general interest books distributed through Yale University Press.
Authors interested in submitting their research for publication by the Yale Peabody Museum should review the appropriate guide and contact the applicable editor for proposal requirements before submitting manuscripts. Please read our guidelines carefully and contact the publications manager with any questions. Because general interest publications are directly related to the Museum’s public programs planning, the Peabody does not consider unsolicited proposals for projects unrelated to its mission.
